2. Hazards identification
|
|
The product is classified as harmful with Xi;R37/38-41.
The product contains cement that can cause eye- and skin irritation and irritation of the respiratory tract.
Cement mixed with water: Calcium hydroxide is generated when mixed with water that may seem strongly irritating to corrosive. Risk of serious eye damage.

4. First aid measures
|
|
Inhalation: Seek fresh air. Keep injured person under observation. By continuous discomfort seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Let the injured drink water or milk. Seek medical attention if discomfort continues.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash the skin with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Eye contact: Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eyelids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention and continue rinsing until doctor undertakes treatment.

5. Fire fighting measures
|
The product is not flammable. Use extinguishing medias in accordance with the surrounding fire. Harmful vapours and gas may develop when heated. In case of surrounding fire: Do not breathe gasses - use self-contained breathing apparatus, gloves, face protection, and one-piece suit.

6. Accidental release measures
|
In event of large spillage to external environment contact local authorities. Use a vacuum cleaner - if this is not possible avoid formation/spreading of dust. Disposal: see section 13.

7. Handling and storage
|
Handling: Avoid dust formation. There must be access to running water and eyewash. Wash hands before breaks, toilet visits, and after work. See section 8 for information on personal protection.
Storage: Store in original container in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store with food, animal feeding stuffs, remedies, and the likes. |

8. Exposure controls/ personal protection
|
|
Precautions by handling the product: Sufficient ventilation must be established (e.g. mechanical ventilation, local exhaust ventilation, or the like). If this is not possible use respiratory protection as stated below.
Personal protection
Respiratory protection: Use a dust mask with a pore size smaller than 5 µm or a mask with particle filter P2 at dusty work and when mixing with water.
Hand protection: Use gloves of PVC, neoprene or vinyl.
Eye protection: Tight-fitting eye protection

11. Toxicological information
|
Inhalation: Inhalation of cement dust may irritate the mucous membranes in upper airways and may lead to throat irritation and instigate coughing. Repeated inhalation of cement dust over a longer period can cause lung damage.
Ingestion: Though not very likely, however, ingestion will lead to strong irritation, possible corrosion of mouth and stomach/intestinal canals depending on the quantity of the consumed.
Skin contact: Skin-irritating substances are generated after contact with water.
Eye contact: May cause strong irritation of the eyes. Risk of serious eye damage.

12. Ecological information
|
There is no data available for the product itself. Immobile. The product does not degrade. Do not allow contaminating drains, sewers, or watercourses.

13. Disposal considerations
|
Large quantities of powder should be collected in suitable containers and disposed of in accordance with local authority requirements. When mixed material is hardened it can be disposed of as normal building waste.

Other labelling: The chromate content is less than 0,0002% cement. Durability is unlimited when stored dry. The chromate neutralisation will decrease when stored under humid conditions e.g. building sites. Broken/opened packaging should be sealed following use and applied as soon as possible.
Training advice: No special training is necessary but a thorough knowledge of this safety data sheet is a condition.
