How to read a classification?
First letter states product type and
can be either C,D, or R:
C = Cement-based adhesive
D = Dispersion
R = Epoxide system
Second digit states product class and tensile adhesion strength and can be either 1 or 2:
Class 1 should be >0.5 N/mm² during all stages of the test
Class 2 should be >1.0 N/mm² during all stages of the test
Third, fourth, and fifth letter state product properties and can be E,F, or T:
E = Extended open time (≥ 0.5 N/mm² for tiles fixed after 30 minutes)
F = Fast setting* (≥ 0.5 N/mm² after max. 24 hours) * new specification from May 2008 (≥ 0.5 N/mm² after max. 6 hours)
T = Slip resistance
(≤ 0.5 mm)
S states Elasticitity
S1 ≥ 2.5 mm
S2 ≥ 5.0 mm
