October 2010:
Convenient/Smooth renders from Alfix
Alfix introduces a new product range of renders: Alfix DuraPuds.

Allan Nielsen, Technical Manager of Alfix, explains: "The advantage of the DuraPuds products is that they all feature the same reliable, well-known properties as our tile adhesives: extremely strong adhesion to substrates”.
This is also the opinion of professional bricklayers who have already used DuraPuds. "The feedback on our renders has been extremely positive and that’s a good start for our new Alfix product range," Allan Nielsen says.
With DuraPuds, the bricklayer now has a convenient everyday tool for creating beautiful, long lasting results. Initially, the new Alfix family consists of the products DuraPuds 710 – a fibre-reinforced bonding key and thin render, and DuraPuds 703 – a through coloured cementious render.
DuraPuds 710 is suitable not only as a base coat but also serves as finishing render on facades, with its slightly rustic texture in a natural cement grey colour. Alternatively, the surface can be painted. If a more delicate texture is desired, DuraPuds 703 is ideal as the finishing coat. DuraPuds 703 is available in a standard cement grey as well as two through coloured versions: white and pale grey.

The excellent workability and elastic consistency of the products during application saves both the professional craftsman and the customer money thanks to reduced waste levels compared to the levels typically expected. Finally, Allan Nielsen guarantees the bricklayer a long open time when working with DuraPuds – a feature that makes high-strength, convenient and thorough rendering possible. This is why the product is called DuraPuds. ”Dura” is short for durability.

September 2010
Alfix introduces the first Danish dust-reduced tile adhesive: Letfix extra - Less Dust.

Less Dust is a dust-reduced tile adhesive featuring the same excellent properties as our popular Letfix extra – light-weight product, high spread rate and flexible to work with.
The minimum amount of dust generated when pouring powder out of the Less Dust bag not only improves the working environment for the user but also reduces the time required to remove the remaining dust with a broom or vacuum-cleaner.
Two unique product advantages:
• Improved and healthier working environment
• Improved work efficiency
The new dust-reduced tile adhesive has a green label on the front and on the bottom of the well-known light blue bags.
The original Letfix extra is of course still available.
